A behind-the-scenes peek today. If you've been following along at home, you'll be aware I am emerging from a 25-year corporate career to start my own business.
I'm grateful for a 9-month runway from when I made the decision to leave my role and when I will launch my new business. These months have been a gift to explore both what I'd like to do next year and what tools and systems are out there now that I'm leaving the corporate world.
In the last few months, I've signed up for more free trials than I can remember and am drowning in email newsletters from all of...
All this push toward visual goals is fine, but I am not a vision board kinda girl... so where does this leave me? Look don't get me wrong, I've pinned gorgeous vision boards on Pinterest too! They are great to look at but I still haven't put my wedding photos into an album... I'm just not that kind of girl :P
Do you start your day by triaging your email?
This may feel like work but delivers little value and ensures your day is shaped by other people's agendas.
Watch out for busy work.

I have a terrible habit. Every year I write Christmas Cards but don't send them.
Usually, about this time of year, I start buying cards. Beautiful cards. I think of all the people I care about and start writing. Beautiful words pour out sharing how I feel about them and wishing them a fabulous festive season and a wonderful new year. Piles of cards. Piles stacked high. ..but then the pile of cards is still there in February!
